What is Chatisa?
Chatisa is a graphical chat community. Like traditional chat, you meet
people and make friends. Join a discussion or create your own. But
that's where the similarities stop. Graphical chat adds a new dimension
to traditional chat in that the experience is much more visual. Chat
rooms are pictures, not text. A small graphic, called an avatar,
represents each user. Chatisa is a game-like world which users can
extend and grow. With Chatisa, members have the ability to create their
own graphical chat rooms. You can choose to upload a world of your own
design or pick from a list of default rooms.
Like our web pages, your custom chat room is yours forever.
Customization is the key. We provide our members with tools to customize
their avatars and rooms. Special tools enable members to provide links
to web pages, inner mailing system, and comments.
How can I use Chatisa?
After logging on to Chatisa.com you can sign up for a Chatisa account
from the “Sign Up” section located at the top of the “home” page. The
required information for signing up for a Chatisa account include:
• First name
• Last name
• Username
• Password
• Email address
• Security code
How can I create my profile?
After you have signed up for a Chatisa account, your profile will be
created with the information provided by you in the sign up section.
You can then edit your profile using the “settings bar” located on top
of your “My Profile” page. For more information on the setting bar go to
the “SETTING” section of this document.
How can I find buddies in Chatisa?
You can easily find buddies in Chatisa with their real first and / or
last name and also their nicknames. After going to “home” page you can
type the name and / or family name or nickname of the person you want to
find in Chatisa, in the search box in the “Buddy Finder” section located
in the bottom right of the page and then press the “Find” button. A list
of users with names/ family names or nicknames similar to your search
will appear.
How can I add new buddies?
You can easily add buddies to your buddy list. After viewing someone’s
profile and deciding you want to add him/her as your buddy, you can
click on the “Invite buddy” in the user bar located on top of the user’s
page.

How can I remove a buddy?
For removing a user from your Buddy list,
you can go to the user’s profile page and click on the “Remove friend”
located in the user bar on the top of the user’s page.

How can I see who is online?
Online buddies are the users which are included in your buddy list and
are logged in to a chat room at the moment. In the “home” page, in the “My
Chatisa” section, located on the right side of the page, you can click
on
“Who Is Online?” and the list of your online buddies will appear. You
can also see the number of your online buddies in the same section. Also the
same function is available from your profile in the right section. After
viewing the online buddies, you can follow them into the room they are
currently chatting in.
How can I follow a user?
Follow is a term that lets Chatisa users to go to the same chat room an
online Chatisa user is currently chatting at. After going to a user’s
profile page, you can check if the user is currently online. Being
online in Chatisa means that the user is currently in chat room. If you
can see the
 sign before the user’s name it means that the user is
currently online and you will have the [Follow user] option. By clicking
on the “Follow user” link you will go to the chat room the selected user
is currently chatting in.
Note that some users may have disabled the “Follow” option. In this case
you will not be able to follow them to the chat room.
How can I stop other users from following me?
For stopping other Chatisa users from following you to the chat room you
are currently chatting in, you can go to the “Edit Profile” section from
your profile page. You will have access to the follow settings in this
page. In this section you have three options:
1. Let everyone follow me - which allows all Chatisa users to come to
the same room you are chatting at
2. Only let my friends follow me – which allows only your buddies to
follow you to the same room you are chatting at.
3. Do not let anyone follow me – which does not allow any Chatisa user
to follow you to the room you are chatting at.
Note that after you have changed your settings you need to click on the
“save” bottom for the changes to take effect.
Settings
For having access to your settings on Chatisa you can use the settings
bar located under the “My Chatisa bar”. The options included in the
settings bar are:
Edit Profile
Edit Profile is the first step in the settings page. In this section you
can
• Change or remove your profile picture
• Edit your “About Me” section
• Edit your nickname
• Change your status
Note: By checking the “Show me always offline” box, you will always
appear offline to Chatisa users even though you might be online.
• Show my buddies: in this section you have three options:
1. Show my buddy list to everyone – which lets all Chatisa users see
your Buddy list
2. Show my buddy list to my buddies – which lets only you buddies see
your Buddy list
3. Do not show my buddy list – which hides your Buddy list from everyone
on Chatisa
• Real name: in this section you have three options:
1. Show my Real name to everyone - which lets all Chatisa users see your
real name
2. Show my Real name to my buddies - which lets only you buddies see
your real name
3. Do not show Real name - which hides your real name from everyone on
Chatisa
• Comments: in this section you have three options:
1. Let everyone comment me - which lets all Chatisa users post comments
on your page
2. Only let my friends comment me - which lets only you buddies post
comments on your page
3. Do not let anyone comment me – which does not let any Chatisa user
post comments on your page.
• Messages: in this section you have three options:
1. Let everyone send me messages - which allows all Chatisa users to
send messages to you
2. Only let my friends send me a message - which allows only your
buddies to send messages to you.
3. Do not let anyone send me a message – which does not let any Chatisa
user send you any messages.
• Follow: Follow is a term that lets Chatisa users to go to the same
chat room an online Chatisa user is currently chatting at. In this
section you have three options:
4. Let everyone follow me - which allows all Chatisa users to come to
the same room you are chatting at
5. Only let my friends follow me – which allows only your buddies to
follow you to the same room you are chatting at.
6. Do not let anyone follow me – which does not allow any Chatisa user
to follow you to the room you are chatting at.
• Change Password: in this section you can change your Chatisa account
password. You need your old password to choose a new password for your
account.
Note that after you have changed your settings you need to click on the
“save” bottom for the changes to take effect.
Edit IM setting
Edit IM setting is the second step in the settings page. In this section
you can enter or edit your ID in AOL, Yahoo! and MSN. By checking the
Privacy option you will only allow your buddies to contact you on AOL,
Yahoo! or MSN.
Note that after you have changed your settings you need to click on the
“save” bottom for the changes to take effect.
Edit Information
Edit Information is the third step in the settings page. In this section
you can edit your:
• First name
• Last name
• Genre
• Birth Date – the birth date is in the (yyyy/mm/dd) format
• Country
• City
• Email address
Note that after you have changed your settings you need to click on the
“save” bottom for the changes to take effect.
Edit / Create My Room
Edit / Create My Room is the forth step in the settings page. In this
section you can create or edit your own user room. The options in this
section include:
Note that if your Create/Edit My Room option is not active you are not a
premium member and cannot create a chat room.
My Chatisa Bar
What is my Chatisa bar?
My Chatisa bar is located on top of your Chatisa page under the Chatisa
logo. From My Chatisa bar you get easier access to Chatisa options.
What options are included in My Chatisa bar?
1. My Profile:
Using this link, you will go to your profile page on Chatisa.
2. Inbox:
Using this link you get access to your inbox from which you can read or
delete messages sent to you from Chatisa users.
3. My Buddies:
Using this link you will go to your buddy list page which includes
Chatisa users you have added to your buddies or have accepted their
invitation.
4. My Avatars:
Using this link you will go to your avatar page which includes the
avatars that you have uploaded to Chatisa.
5. My Comments:
Using this link you will go to your comment page which includes the
quick comments your buddies have posted on your page. Your five recent
comments can also be found on your “My Profile” page.
Link Bar
What is the link bar?
The link bar is located on top of your Chatisa page after the Chatisa
logo. From the link bar you get easier access to different options on
Chatisa.
What options are included in the link bar?
1. Home:
By using this link you will go to the “home” page. On the “home” page
you will find:
a. A list of 20 of the newest users you have signed up for a Chatisa
account.
b. Who is Online?
After the recently added users, you have the “Who is Online?” option
which lets you know which Chatisa users are currently in a chat room.
c. Updated News
In this section you will find Chatisa updated news which includes news
from the Chatisa group about new rooms, new rules and everything new.
d. Rooms
In this section you have access to the public Chatisa chat rooms and
also five of the most visited user rooms by Chatisa users. The rooms are
listed in the hit order and those rooms which have been visited the most
will be placed on the top of the list. You can also see the list of all
Chatisa rooms by clicking on the “Click Here to see all rooms” link
under the five most visited rooms.
e. My Chatisa
In this section you have quick access to some options on your Chatisa
profile
• New messages : By using this link you get quick access to your inbox
• My profile : By using this link you will go to your profile page
• Log out: By using this link you will be logged out of Chatisa.
• Add avatar: By using this link you will be able to upload avatars to
Chatisa. Note that you should be a premium member to have access to this
option.
• Who is online? This link will let you know which Chatisa users are
currently in a chat room.
• Invite new Buddy: By using this link you can invite your friends to
Chatisa by sending them and Email invitation.
• Buddy finder: By using this link you will go to the Buddy Finder
section from which you can find buddies in Chatisa with their real first
and / or last name and also their nicknames.
2. Chat Rooms:
By using this link you will go to the list of all Chatisa Public and
User rooms.
3. Avatar Gallery:
The gallery consists of all avatars uploaded by Chatisa users.
4. Buddy Finder:
By using this link you will go to the Buddy Finder section from which
you can find buddies in Chatisa with their real first and / or last name
and also their nicknames.
5. Log Out:
By using this link you will be logged out of Chatisa.
User Bar
The user bar is located at the top of Chatisa users profile page. After
going to a Chatisa user page you will have access to different option in
the user’s profile. The options include:
• Buddy List - In this section you can view the user’s Buddy List
• Avatar Gallery - In this section you can view the user’s Avatar
Gallery
• Comments - In this section you can view the user’s Avatar Gallery
• Visit Personal Room - In this section you can view the user’s Personal
Room
• Invite Buddy - In this section you can add the user to your Buddy
List.
Note that in case the user is already in your Buddy List, you will not
see this option and instead you will have the “Remove Friend” bar. This
option is described in the Remove Buddy section of this document.
• Send Message - In this section you can send a message to the user
• Follow - In this section you can follow the user to the room they are
currently chatting in.
• IM - In this section you can IM or send offline messages to the user
via AOL, Yahoo! or MSN by the IDs provided by the user.
Note that some of the above options may have been disabled by the user.
In this case you will not be able to use them. For more information on
how to disable these options you can go to the “SETTING” section of this
document.
Naturally, you will not be viewing the user bar when you are in your own
profile page as the options in this bar are related to links on the
user’s profile.
Chat Rooms
What are Chatisa chat rooms?
Chatisa chat rooms are flash based animated rooms with cartoony themes
and different rooms which are connected together through doors, holes,
ladders or any other different object. You can easily navigate through
rooms and surf each room and walk in the room simply by clicking on the
room space. The conversations in the chat rooms are appeared in bubbles
over characters heads. Public conversation which can be viewed by all
users in the chat room, are shown in white bubbles and personal
conversation, called “whisper”, which can only be viewed by the user you
have selected, are shown in black bubbles. Chatisa chat rooms are
divided into two different categories: The “Public rooms” and the “user
rooms”.
What is a public room?
The public rooms are the chat rooms created by Chatisa which are flash
based and animated and connected to different other rooms. The public
rooms can be used by all Chatisa users.
What is a user room?
A user room is a chat room created by a Chatisa premium user. User rooms
include graphical backgrounds uploaded by the user and are not connected
to other rooms. User rooms can include password made by the user which
has created the room or not. User rooms without a password can be used
by all Chatisa users and user rooms with password can only be used by
users who have obtained the password from the creator of the room.
How can I view all chat rooms?
In the “home” page, some of the rooms are listed in order of the number
of times they have been visited. You can click on “Click Here to see all
rooms “located below the list to view all the rooms.
How can I enter the chat rooms?
After you have selected the chat room you want to enter from the “home”
page, you can simply click on the name of the room and the room will be
loaded in a new opened window.
How can I surf the chat rooms?
You can surf through rooms and walk in the rooms, go near the people you
want to chat with or stand still in a position in a chat room. For
traveling through a chat room, simply click on the place you want to
stand on and your character will move to the selected position. In
public rooms you can also go from one room to another room. Move your
mouse over objects in the public chat rooms and if you see a change in
them, (like doors being opened, flashes showing you a direction, etc.)
it means that you can go to other places through them.
How can I send a massage in a chat room?
After you have logged in to a chat room, you can type your message in
the text bar provided in the bottom of the chat room window and then
click “send” or simply press Enter. Your message will be appeared in a
bubble over your head. Public conversation which can be viewed by all
users in the chat room, are shown in white bubbles and personal
conversation, called “whisper”, which can only be viewed by the user you
have selected, are shown in black bubbles.
How can I send a personal massage to someone in the chat room? (Whisper)
For sending a personal message, called whisper, to a user in the chat
room, move your mouse over the user’s name and a bubble including the
“Click to Whisper!” text will appear. Click on the bubble and type in
the text bar in the bottom of the chat room window. Your personal
message will appear in a black bubble over your head and will only be
viewed by the user you have clicked the “Click to Whisper!” bubble on.
To stop sending personal messages to the selected user, simply move your
mouse over the user’s name again and click the bubble including the
“Stop Whispering!” text. The messages typed in the text bar in the
bottom of the chat room window from then on, will be public, shown in
white bubbles and viewed by all users in the chat room.
How can I change my nickname in the chat room?
Your nickname is an ID by which you are presented to a chat room. After
logging in to a chat room, you can easily change your nickname from the
bar located on the top of the chat room window. Click on “Change
nickname” button in the top of the chat room window and enter your new
nickname in the text bar and then click on “Save”.
How can I change my avatar in the chat room?
After logging in to a chat room, you can change your avatar and chose an
avatar from the Chatisa avatar gallery. The gallery consists of all
avatars uploaded by users. For choosing from the Chatisa avatar gallery,
click on the “Change avatar” button in the top of the chat room window
and a new window containing Chatisa avatar gallery will be opened (note
that you should disable your windows pop up blocker).After choosing your
avatar, click on “Pick this” and you will be appeared by the selected
avatar in the chat room.
How can I view all conversations in the chat room?
During your visit to chat rooms, you might have some difficulty viewing
and reading all conversations made by all users, especially with the
rooms with a lot of users in it. For viewing all conversations, you can
click on the “Chat Log” button in the top of the chat room window and
all the conversation will appear in a box in the top of the chat room
window in time order.
How can I view someone’s profile in the chat room?
For viewing someone’s profile in the chat room, you can move your mouse
over the user’s name and a human sign with a question mark (“?”) will
appear. Click on it and a new window containing the user’s details will
appear. You can click on the “(View profile)” located after the user’s
username and go to the user’s profile.
How can I create my own room?
Premium users in Chatisa can create their own rooms with their own
Selected background and chose a password for their room so that
They can choose which users who can enter their room by giving them the
password, although the choosing a password for the room is not
mandatory. You can go to “My Profile” page and click on “Create/Edit My
Room” and you will go to the “Settings” page. In the “Create/Edit My
Room” settings you can upload a background picture in the “My Picture”
section. Note that your background must be in accordance to the laws of
the Islamic Republic of Iran and rooms with mature content themes will
be deleted. You can also chose a name for your chat room in the “Room
name” section and optionally choose a password for your room in this
section.
Note that if your Create/Edit My Room option is not active you are not a
premium member and can not create a chat room.
Avatars
What is an avatar?
An avatar is computer user's representation of himself or herself in the
form of a picture used on Internet forums and other communities. The
term "avatar" can also refer to the personality connected with the
username of an Internet user. Avatars in Chatisa are 90x90 pxl pictures
in “GIF” format and can be used by users to represent themselves the way
they look and express how they feel. Avatars in Chatisa can be uploaded
by users but are subject to the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran and
the avatars including mature content or inappropriate themes will be
deleted.
What is an avatar gallery?
An avatar gallery is a section of a premium user profile which includes
all the avatars the user has uploaded to Chatisa. The avatar gallery is
located at My Chatisa bar on top of the user’s profile.
How can I change my avatar?
You can change your avatar either from someone else’s avatar gallery or
upload your own avatars which are both described in the following lines.
After selecting the desired avatar, click on the “Pick this” sign on the
bottom of the selected avatar. The chosen avatar will be saved as your
last selected avatar and will also be used the next time you log on to
Chatisa until you chose a different avatar.
How can I upload my own avatar?
After you have become a premium member, you can upload your own selected
avatars and add them to your avatar gallery. For adding your own avatars
you can go to the “home” section or to “My profile” section and click on
“Add avatar” and upload your own avatars. The avatars that you chose to
upload must be in 90x90 pxl size, in “GIF” format. The uploaded avatars
in Chatisa are subject to the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran and
the avatars including mature content or inappropriate themes will be
deleted.
How can I use someone’s avatar?
After going to someone’s profile, you can go to the avatar gallery
located in the user bar on top of the user’s profile and select the
avatar that you wish to use, and then click on the “Pick this” sign on
the bottom of the selected avatar.
